Imagine you just bought your first car, and sat on the side of the road with your brand new vehicle, while looking very confused because the battery is an odd voltage. How can you tell what the voltage is? Let’s take a look.
A tell-tale sign of a higher voltage battery is the “volt meter” in cars that is usually located on the left side of the dashboard. If a can has a 12 volt battery, the volt meter will read 12 volts if using a traditional electrical outlet. A 24 volt battery will have a volt meter that reads 240 volts.
